For the most part, 4×4 on-road tyres look pretty much the same as regular car tyres, but their tread patterns may be more suitable for the infrequent off-road use. In case of larger 4×4 on-road vehicles, slightly bigger tyres with slightly deeper tread-depths may be used.
• 4×4 all-terrain tyres: These 4×4 tyres can be used for both on-road and off-road applications. They are not the best choice for either application, but they are the perfect choice if you want to strike a balance between the two.
